GARNER USER GENERATED CONTENT - PHOTO, VIDEO, VINE?
User Generated Content (UGC) is no longer a novel concept, yet it is still a very valuable one for brands that harness that power of community the right way. Asking fans to take a photo or selfie (another trend that won't die out anytime soon) with their loved one to celebrate Valentines is a sure-fire way of boosting engagement.
UGC of course is not just about selfies. Asking followers to send in their favourite love-themed recipes will also create conversations as cooking and baking are past-times that inspire such passion.
DATA COLLECTION - DONE DIFFERENTLY
If you listen to most marketers then they will tell you with that furrowed look across their brow that 'Data is the most important aspect of any campaign' and whilst that is somewhat true, the vital thing is how one uses that data into an advantage. Whilst it's all very well to have a landing page with a load of different tick boxes and data fields, we think you can be a bit more creative, when love is knocking at the door.
Engage couples by incentivising them to talk about how they first met - each love story is so unique that the story will most likely reveal some intimate nuggets of data that can be implemented when retargetting that fan at a later, convenient date.
