Have Fun With Your Employees

Everyone likes businesses which treat each other like family, take Zappos for example - there's a reason this company is so popular, it's their human side.

Businesses which are purely corporate don't do well on a holiday which is about sharing and being thankful, so make sure you put yourself out there. The best way for you to show your human side is to actually show your...err... human side. Take some photographs of you and your employees in preparation for the holiday season and share them on your social media. Give yourself a face and encourage your fan base to do the same thing, there's no better time than Thanksgiving to express the personality of your brand.

Don't Forget Black Friday!

Black Friday sales are getting earlier and earlier every year, why not get in on the action by kicking off your marketing on Thanksgiving evening?

Start building up your campaign in the weeks before and tie the two celebrations together! If you have a physical store which is closed Thanksgiving night, try something like a downloadable voucher - everyone who downloads before midnight on Thanksgiving and brings it in store on Black Friday gets a further discount!

The brilliant thing about this is just how easy it is to tie in with your social media - run a quiz and base the type of voucher they receive on their outcome, or run a photo contest and use the vouchers as an incentive to participate!
